TESTIMONIALS
Thank you for creating an atmosphere that damn well saved my life. I was in worse shape than you know when I moved in. I was hopeless and about to give up. That house was the last effort I was going to make at sobriety, at life. I'm not good at letting myself be supported, but that house did for me what I could not do for myself. I will be forever grateful.

After being a resident for 18 months at Casa Bonita I can attest to the benefits of the Casa Lifestyle and will always consider this one of the best decisions of my life. It was quite serendipitous to have found such a wonderful place to advance my sobriety and re-build my life. I will forever be indebted to you for all you have done for me for the past 18 months. You truly have been an integral part of making the transition to a sober life easier than I could have ever imagined! From here I will take many fond experiences and memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you all of the Casa staff as well for all of their support.

I first came to Casa Bonita the very day I checked out of a detox unit. At this moment in my life I was full of fear and severely depressed, questioning whether life was worth living. I had battled alcoholism for nearly 10 years, with varying degrees of temporary success, always followed by yet another relapse. I had never felt so hopeless. Upon moving in I was immediately made to feel welcome by the house manager and other residents. Within a few short days, my mood was lifting, I was attending a rigorous outpatient program five days per week, and I had settled into a healthy routing and began to feel hopeful.

1*My feelings about Casa Blanca can't be described on paper, the love I have for this house and the staff here is something I will carry with me forever. They have helped me see the fun in sobriety, and given me hope when I had none. I have been in the house for almost a year now and beginning to transition out of it and I wouldn't have made it this far without the love and support I have been shown by the staff at Casa. This house will always have a special place in my heart.
I have been battling addiction for the better part of a decade. I am now 28 years old and I have been through multiple addiction treatment centers and have been declared clinically dead from heroin overdose in the past. Before becoming an addict, I was a scholarship athlete playing football at a nationally known University. I threw that, the prospects of playing football professionally, and everything else good in my life away for the living hell that is addiction. I thought I had no hope of living a normal life anymore, nor did I think that I deserved it. After coming out to California for treatment from Ohio I decided to go into sober living afterwards. After looking at Casa Sober Lifestyle’s web site I decided to move into their Casa Blanca house. It couldn’t have been a better fit. As soon as I moved in I immediately felt at home, it was exactly the kind of sober living I was looking for. All of the residents and staff genuinely care about you and your sobriety, and will help you with anything. I believe that Casa Blanca was integral in my pursuit to stay sober and has helped me save my life. Before coming here I had no hope of having a normal life or being happy again. Now I can see that as a reality for me again. I would highly suggest one of Casa Sober Lifestyle’s houses if you genuinely want to stay sober and become a complete and happy individual again.

Dear Donna, Coming from Parentsy
My husband and I would like to thank you for the great care and compassion that you and your staff have shown our 19-year-old daughter Katie since she arrived in November. It was a blessing to talk to you on the phone that day when we were looking at options for her as she transferred out of a residential program. She is so young and we live in Virginia, so having her so far away has been very scary for us. Katie has been in and out of treatment centers for the past five years, but she’s never lived on her own. Because of that, she is very vulnerable and needs a nurturing environment. Without Casa Blanca, I don’t think it would have been possible for her to continue with the treatment program that we feel is saving her life.
You and your staff treat her like family. She feels comfortable and supported in your home, and we are confident that she is safe. The growth we’ve seen in her that past two months has been tremendous. She has become more independent with her daily living skills, as well as with her medication management. She actually seems happy again, something we haven’t seen in a long time.
Please accept our sincerest gratitude, as we continue to trust you with our beloved child. If there’s ever anything you need from us, please let us know.
Thank you!

It's nice having a home away from home. Being in treatment centers or hospitals are not home but I do consider Casa Blanca a home because of the loving and caring people that I have supporting me there. There was one thing that really stuck with me and that was when my house manager told me "I shook your dads hand, so I am not going to allow anything bad to happen to you" and after hearing that I knew this place was different from all the others. I feel peaceful here and I feel calm especially with the beautiful sunsets we see every night. I would recommend living here to anyone that is working on bettering themselves.

I was a hopeless Alcoholic with many attempts at sobriety. My last option was to try a sober living home after detox. Casa Blanca was an amazing place for me to begin my sober life and get a healthy daily routine going. The home is gorgeous and well kept. The house manager is very caring and loving. It's a secluded location which allowed me to concentrate on myself and what I needed to do, yet close enough to local transportation and shopping centers. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for serious sobriety in a safe and comfortable environment.

Coming here I was reserved and my guard was up; I was taken aback at how helpful and kind everyone has been, even when I was not. I had trouble believing some of the other addicts and alcoholics were not Casa staff members, just people like me trying to live a better live. I am 45 days clean, thanks to Casa Sober Lifestyle. I have so much gratitude for every aspect of this program, and would not be drug free, sane, and most importantly, happy, person that I am today. The changes the other residents and I have seen in myself, and I have seen in them, are nothing short of miracles.

I moved in with absolutely no hope for a content, well balanced life. I was spiritually and mentally broken and couldn't even put a sentence together. I'm the youngest of three children, "the quiet one". Shy kids always feel different, I became awkward and struggled with my sexuality. I didn't like myself for being gay. So I held it in, Near the end of high school I started doing every drug I could get, until I was so lost I didn't care if I lived or died. I've gotten the old me back from working the program, but I couldn't have done it without the encouragement and love I've gotten from everyone here. They have helped me become more comfortable with who I am. I call this my home, not because I have a bed here but because the way I feel when I am here. I came in hopeless and discontent, and now I'm full of hope and content knowing that I'm moving forward in my life and that I'm in a safe place that I call home.

I remember coming to Casa Blanca Retreat unsure of myself... feeling very stuck, like I've failed. This home, it's staff and other residents, have made me a better person, and it is truly the best in it's class. Here my entire worldview s changed. The house managers care for us like we are their own children.

I have been in and out of treatment facilities sine the age of 15. I am now 19 years old. My life was going nowhere, but downhill, I burned every bridge in my life. I needed a way to break this pattern. I found Casa Blanca Sober Living house in April 2012; everyone was welcoming and willing to support me. It is a family here. Here everyone cares so much for one another. If it wasn't for Casa Sober Lifestyle I would still be nowhere, they saved my life here. The love and support you get here is like no other place I have been in the past. I have such a bright future to look forward to, now, because of Casa Blanca and you could too!
